India is getting its first startup museum in Bengaluru

India will be getting its first startup and tech museum, called The Museum of Innovation & Technology (MIT), in 2027. The museum will be located in Baiyappanahalli, Bengaluru, and has a budget of ₹100Cr.

Prashanth Prakash, one of the key people involved in this museum project, said, “We’re calling on startups and companies from across the country who’d like to be a part of the museum. It is going to be an interactive space, so there’s lots of room for experimentation.”

The first phase of MIT won’t be open until 2027, and the project has faced some delays with initial 2022 timelines estimating that the museum would in the next 18 to 24 months (2023 or 2024).
